(Wheel of Fire)

Family: Proteaceae

Description: Tree to 30m. Leaves alternate, leathery. Spoked wheel-like flowers summer to autumn. Woody seed capsules to 8cm long.

Where to look: Lower side of the carpark below Arts & Ecology Centre.

Banksia oblongifolia

(Dwarf Banksia)

Family: Proteaceae

Description: Shrub to 3m. Leaves whorled, white below, serrate. Creamy to yellow flowers in brushes. Woody cones remain on the bush.
