Pretty active stuff today: down to my Pot Shop for some clay work and then some sourdough baking later on...
There doesn’t seem to be much activity on this Forum (especially set up for the Tuesday ORANGE people to give them some social interaction and to keep in touch). Too much other stuff to do do or not really interested?
Or is the platform too pesky and elusive?
Well in the instance of things to do or being done as an example: I hear some are painting houses, some are desecrating gardens with whippersnippers and some are confronting weeds at a great pace with all sorts of impliments. Also I can report that the large, very large mango tree in our backyard finally underwent a good haircut as well. And everyone endless mowing, mowing, mowing...I can report that the grass is slowing down somewhat with the colder weather coming on, but some of our Friends just keep on mowing...(fills in time?) and oh yes we do have some suspicious dark patches in our lawns as well!!!...grubs?
And of course some are reflecting on wildlife experienced in their gardens and some are generally commenting on life at home in the lockdown.
So we haven’t heard much about other people’s gardening activities, books read or films seen or experimental cakes, exotic dishes never tried before and never will again...now there is an opening...for others to pick up and run with...
Recently with the fine weather in abundance we have taken the opportunity to investigate the Gardens, sunny afternoon walks mainly to enjoy the local ambiance and also to check out how things are going out there without the Friends in attendance. Absolutely fine I hate to say...to think our favourite spot can do without us!
Also exploring our local Maloolooba beach as always and just people watching. There are so many out there now enjoying the sun, sea and sand...also fish and chips for picnics. The local fish shop on the spit must be doing a roaring trade.
More officially there have been several, as reported before experimental Zoom meetings (successful I must say) with a collection of Friends participating and having fun and of course these experiments culminating in the monthly Management meeting for May...very successfully executed indeed. The Zoom system even managed to curtail the usual circuitous discussions which form the amusement and life blood of so many previous meetings. (Max 40mins free allowance each Zoom session...Secretary Bob had to book in for one more session to fit it all in!)
Last time round I reported on finding the Gelato shop down at Mooloolaba open to our great excitement. Well I must say that after that daring excursion, later on in the week we ventured as far as Noosa! Well within our 50k diameter legal limit and found the Gelato shop on Hastings Street open and dispensing more Cafe delights.
I will leave you with the evidence...below...
PS the sourdough came out very well indeed!!!!
PPS your article could be serious or not, informative or not, voluminous or not...or could be just like a chat when you meet a friend in the street...
