The gardens
are situated a short distance west of the Bruce Highway, about 3km north
of the Sunshine Motorway exit ramps, 90km north of Brisbane. To reach the gardens from the Bruce Highway, you need to exit the highway at the Sunshine Motorway intersection, drive one km east along the Sunshine Motorway and exit at the Tanawha/Sippy Downs exit. Drive west along the Tanawha Tourist Drive for two km to the Main Creek Road intersection (look for the windmill, intersection signposted 'Botanic Gardens') and turn left. Follow Main Creek Road for just over a kilometre, then turn left into Palm Creek Road, and under the Bruce Highway, then left again into Radbourne Road. Drive a short distance up the hill, then turn right into Palm Creek Road (western part), then left again at the traffic island as you pass the Tanawha Valley Golf Course. The unnamed road leads to the gardens entrance and is signposted 'Botanic Gardens'. If you use a GPS, enter "51 Palm Creek Road, Tanawha" |
