At our morning tea last Tuesday (9th March 2010), Maureen spoke about redevelopment of the lawn/garden area north east of the Colonnade, and presented this drawing. This proposal drawing was made after the meeting at the gardens of interested members the previous Thursday. (Apologies from Tony Ireland for the quality of the drawing copy - I only had a camera with me, and no access to an A3 scanner). The purpose of putting this on our website is for members to look at the proposal at their leisure, and make further suggestions before the final plan is adopted. You should see a higher resolution copy if you click here. You can use View/Zoom/Zoom In or the keyboard shortcut Ctrl and + (several times if you like) to get a larger image, and make the script easier to read You can email Maureen with suggestions (or just to say you like it as it is) at sheargolds@optusnet.com.au, or bring along your suggestions to morning tea in the gardens next Tuesday. The general meeting on Thursday evening (11th March) resolved to proceed with the redevelopment of this area as proposed. The members also thanked Maureen for her tremendous efforts in studying the area and how people were using it currently, her imagination and creativity in developing the proposal after consultation with others, and for communicating her concept via the drawing and detailed explanation.
